04 impala pressure control solenoid recall

Many of you know that the tranny in the impalas shift hard when hot and code P1811 appears. Reading most blogs it seems to be a problem with the PCS, pressure control solenoid. Many of you know that this is expensive to replace. There is also a Tech Service Bulletin for this specific problem. This tells me it is a defective part, but has yet been recalled. I called GM today 1-800-222-1020 and expressed my concern on why this product has yet been recalled. He said it is not a known defect and others must call. Call the number 1-800-220-1020 so they will do something about it. I find it ridiculous that they will not back their products they distribute. Posted 6-21-2010
